• 30January2022 Dr. Risley is now retired. We welcome David Fakhri, DO as the new CEO of Sacramento Medical Oasis, Inc.

• 11June2021 Our gmail issues seem to be resolved (after 23-1/2 hours on a tech support chat).

• 23May2021 Gmail has been sending a lot of our mail into users’ junk mail folder. If you use gmail and think we’re ignoring you, check your junk folder!

• 25April2021 After nearly a year of dealing with strange telephone problems, we finally have a completely new phone system which should fix everything. Please let me know via text message if you experience any disconnect messages or calls where there is no audio.

• 17March2021 We are, once again, having strange, intermittent problems with the phones. If you have trouble calling, our texts (916-282-0889) and email (amy <at> sacmedoasis.com) should be working fine, so please try to reach us that way. Sorry for the hassle. The problems should be at least partially resolved now, but who knows what else might come up.

• 11February2021UPDATE: text messaging is working again. Text away! If you sent any text messages from 16January2021 through 11February2021 we didn’t get them. Please send them again.

• 10February2021 We aren’t receiving text messages! Something seems to be wrong with our texting system. Sending works, but we’re not receiving any messages. I’m investigating. In the mean time, if you have sent us any text messages or replied to one we’ve sent you this month, please call or email to let us know what the message said. Sorry for the lost messages!

• 27January2021 We seem to have survived the storm, but our communication systems are down while we repair storm damage and fix the phones, faxes, email, and texting systems. Your patience is appreciated.

• 27December2020 We’re making some big changes to our phone system this week. If you get a busy signal or a not-in-service message, don’t panic. Wait an hour and try again. Things should be back to baseline soon.

• 15November2020 We’re making some small changes to telemedicine

• 05September2020 I’m still skeptical about vaccines, but there’s a glimmer of evidence that the SARS-CoV-2 virus is starting to lose its virulence

• 02September2020 A study recently published in JAMA finds the prevalence of depression in the US is three times higher than before the pandemic. You’re not alone!

• 04July2020 It’s not safe out there, not yet! Stay home if you possibly can. Wear a mask when you go out. This will pass, but for now we need to keep taking care of ourselves and each other.

• 14June2020 A couple of interesting articles from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention: Consideration for Events and Gatherings and advice on Personal and Social Activities.

• 06June2020 Did you get a “this number has been disconnected” message when you tried to call us? Sorry about that! No, we didn’t forget to pay the phone bill. We are transitioning to a new version of our PBX software and, unbeknownst to us, some calls were getting the disconnect message. We’re still here, and hope to have the transition complete by Tuesday.
